Overview
Three days of walking south of M’hamid El Ghizlane, the last village on the tarmac before the open Sahara. The caravan follows old herding routes past tamarisk stands and small ergs, camping wherever the light and the ground are right.
Daily walking is around four to five hours, split by a long lunch break in the shade, which is how caravans have always crossed this country in the warmer part of the day.
