Overview
From M’hamid El Ghizlane the great dune field of Erg Chegaga is about sixty kilometres away, all of it off the tarmac, and it can be reached and returned from in a single day.
The route crosses the reg, passes the small ergs and the wells used by herders, and gives several hours at the main dunes before turning back.
