7 Days Agadir to Laayoune and Dakhla

South from Agadir to Tiznit, a walled town known for its silver work, then the coast road through Mirleft with its cliff beaches, stopping at Legzira where a rock arch still stands above the sand. Night in Sidi Ifni.

Inland briefly to Guelmim, historically a caravan and camel market town at the gateway to the desert, then west again to Tan-Tan on the edge of the Saharan provinces. Night in Tan-Tan.

A long coastal stage past the beaches and dune fields of Tan-Tan Plage, then Tarfaya opposite the Canary Islands, once a staging post on the airmail route across the Sahara.

A shorter day down the coast to Boujdour, a windswept fishing town with a lighthouse above the cliffs. Time at the port and along the shore. Night in Boujdour.

The longest stretch of open desert road, some 370 km with the ocean on one side and flat hammada on the other, reaching the Dakhla peninsula in the afternoon. Night in Dakhla.

A full day around the lagoon: the flat shallow water used by kitesurfers, the white dune where the desert meets the water, the oyster farms and the hot spring at the head of the bay. Night in Dakhla.
