Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate Day Trip

Pick-up from your hotel around eight in the morning and the climb into the High Atlas, with a stop at the Tizi n'Tichka pass at over 2,200 m.

Arrival in Ouarzazate around midday for the Atlas Studios and Kasbah Taourirt, the old Glaoui residence at the edge of the town, followed by lunch.

In the afternoon the short drive to Ait Ben Haddou, where the ksar rises in tiers of earthen towers above the Ounila river; the walk up to the agadir at the top gives the view over the valley. Return to Marrakech in the evening, arriving around eight.
