Overview

Four cities have served as the capital of Morocco: Fes, Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat. This journey visits all four, with the Roman site of Volubilis and the hill town of Moulay Idriss on the way between Fes and Meknes.

Two full days are given to guided walking in the medinas of Fes and Marrakech, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites and are entered on foot with an official local guide.
